If superheroes are your thing, another game that is worth a look is Champions online (MMORPG).
Champions online was made by many of the people that originally designed City of Heroes, so in this regard it might be thought of as “City of Heroes 2.”
The game did get a bit of bad press as the pre-release beta version of the game had some real issues. Unfortunately the designers were quite liberal about who they let in to beta test the game (yes, I was a beta tester too) and some of the people clearly could not tell the difference between a commercial product and a pre-release beta. The game is much better now it is a true commercial release, although none US players might notice some lag issues.
Good Points
- Great character editor
- Moveable/destructable terrain adds realism
- Totally unique powers possible
- Vehicles!
Bad Points
- Still has some bugged missions,although these can be avoided
- Areas are instanced (Like CoH, unlike Warcraft) so travel can break immersion in the game
Verdict
Well worth a look anyway for what is a very low price (Amazon UK is selling this at £6 – click the picture link for info)
