Ok if you have seen the film you will know that Cyke and Prof X "die" but as always in movies they will always find a way to bring back a character if needed. This is shown at the end of Xmen 3 with the Prof's supposed telepathic message to Moria Mctaggert. (what you mean you didn't see that bit!..you should have stayed till after the credits then  ;) )
Well here a thought how I think they will get around bringing back dead characters. Seeing how this film took parts of the Phoenix story line it could also take another bit from it that being the Shi'ar and the Starjammers. I dont see the way Prof X  went as dying, no corpse means no death in movie land. The effects used could easily be explained as a Shi'ar teleport beam  and again we dont see the death of scott summers just the floating goggles so the same could have happend to him.
Now in the setting of the X movies bringing in alien life does seem a bit far fetched as it steers away from the spandex for a a more gritty realtime feeling but you never know with hollyweird.

Now that bit of weirdness actually came to me in those moments from when you go from fully asleep to awakening which can only mean one thing. I need to get a life.
