When this site first started it was in the spirit of "try it and see if it works".  This means that I bolted on many things that may or may prove themselves useful, just to see.  The downside of all this is that the site looks like this is what I did!   

Over the next few weeks I will be upgrading some of the software used to keep the site running and tidying up the graphics somewhat, aiming for a more unified feel.  This process should start early next week.  The original idea was to do a complete overhaul and present the "finished" article, but as a website is never truly finished this seemed like an unneccessary and unattainable goal.  Accordingly I will be upgrading the site one area at a time over a longer period.  The first area to receive this treatment will be the forum.

It is entirely possible that some areas/features may not work as they once did, or indeed at all, after I have finished!  My intention is to improve the existing features of the site and add quite a few more, but this all depends on compatibility.  If anything is clearly broken by these activities please do tell me either through email, in game or (assuming it is still running!) this forum.

Hopefully the site will come out the other end looking better and doing more than it does now.
